Better Manufacturing Integration with AUCOTEC Interface for Weidmüller Tool

In cooperation with Weidmüller, AUCOTEC AG in Hanover has developed a new XML-based interface. For the first time it enables a bidirectional data exchange between E-CAE systems and the terminal configurator RailDesigner. This possibility can already be used by the latest Aucotec product generation Engineering Base (EB). With the object-oriented and database-driven planning tool, using the new interface users can now perfectly design terminal strips "in a twinkling of an eye" and then pass them on directly from EB to the terminal strip and housing configurator from Weidmüller. Thus the customer gains planning reliability and clarity for the design of terminal strips that are to be individually produced. His quotation and ordering processes are considerably simplified, costs are reduced.
The fruitful cooperation between the software specialist AUCOTEC and the interface professionals from Weidmüller has been functioning for a number of years already. The software systems Elcad, Aucoplan and Ruplan also use interfaces with Weidmüller tools. Thus also the individual plant and device designations can be output to arbitrary terminal equipment such as SpeedMarkingLaser, plotter, thermotransfer printer or ordered online using the Weidmüller labeling software M-Print (PRO).
Weidmüller is the leading manufacturer of components for electrical internal connection systems for data and energy transmission. Aucotec AG in Hanover is the largest independent German provider of engineering systems and pertinent services – with over 20 years of experience. Its software systems support the planning and operation of electrical and measuring and control facilities all over the globe. |
